FORMER Chase pupil Katie Love has been enjoying some peace and quiet and a return to reality after narrowly missing out in the final of BBC One’s So You Think You Can Dance?

The 24-year-old dazzled both judges and audience alike as she performed six dances in Saturday’s live final, where she finished third behind tapdancer Matt Flint and jazz dancer Luke Jackson.

After an intense week leading up to the final, Miss Love admitted she was looking forward to a few quiet days at home.

“I am very tired. It has been very quickly back to normality - I have just been bleaching the kitchen,” she said. “I don’t know what I am going to do next really. All I can really say is I want a bit of sleep.”

Miss Love has been hailed as a star by all of the judges throughout the contest, and her mum Sue, who lives in Rushwick, hopes finishing the series as the top girl will provide a springboard for her career.

“The whole thing was brilliant, even the tango which (judge) Nigel Lythgoe criticised,” she said. “I thought it was lovely. We are now waiting and hoping that someone offers her a job.”

Mrs Love was also starstruck after speaking to pop diva Jennifer Lopez during the final.

“No-one believes me,” she said, after running into the singer and actress backstage.
