POLICE this week re-arrested a man on suspected of murdering a 59-year-old from Longdon last month.
Officers were called to an address in Bushley on April 3 where they found 59-year-old Robin Chandler Troughton with serious injuries.
He was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, but died there on Friday, April 22.
A man in his 70s was originally arrested shortly after the incident and released on police bail. He was re-arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday morning (May 10).
A second man, in his 50s, who was arrested after the incident remains on police bail.
Detective Inspector Richard Rees said: “Police are continuing to investigate Robin Troughton’s death as murder and have made an arrest on Tuesday morning as a result of ongoing enquiries.”
