UPTON councillor Mike Morgan will be asking “whodunit” as he seeks to raise money for local good causes.
Coun Morgan, the chairman of Malvern Hills District Council, is organising a murder mystery evening to raise money for his nominated charities Malvern Sea Cadets and the Great Malvern Relief Fund.
The evening, in Memorial Hall at 7.30pm on Friday, April 8, will feature a two-act play, followed by a three-course meal during which the audience will be invited to speculate on the identity of the murderer. There will then be a short denouement.
Coun Morgan will be taking to the stage himself during the production, along with five of his fellow members from Upton’s Pepperpot Players - Simon Faulkner, Penny Sant, Jenny Killam, Roy Hodges and Natalie Gardiner.
The play will be done “radio style” and tells the story of bad-tempered Sir Marcus and a cast of colourful characters, each with possible motives for having done away with the conceited aristocrat.
Tickets for the murder mystery cost £25 from Louise Anthony, PA to The Chairman, Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern or by emailing louise.anthony@malvernhills.gov.uk.
