PAINTINGS depicting the parables of Jesus went on show at Holly Mount United Reformed Church at the weekend.
The pictures, created by pupils at local schools, now form a permanent part of the Bible garden at the town centre church.
The garden uses various forms of art and symbolism to convey various aspects of the Biblical story.
The new panels were painted by youngsters from the Grove Primary School and St James's Primary School, depicting the parables of the lost sheep and of the good Samaritan.
The church hopes shortly to start an educational project called Seeds For Life, in which pupils from local schools will visit the Bible garden as an addition to their formal religious teaching.
