MALVERN Joggers could have been forgiven for the odd-stagger after a fund-raising ‘pubathon’ in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice.
The running group visited 14 Malvern pubs, along a 18.5 mile route, and raised a fantastic £1,000 for the hospice.
Pub goers, enjoying the fine weather on August Bank Holiday Monday, gave generously as the runners made their way between beer stops.
The pub landlords themselves were also generous with some providing free refreshments or contributing to the collection themselves.
The eventual sum raised by donations was in excess of £400 with other donations from local businesses taking it over £1,000.
