BRAMBLES Care Farm on Castlmorton Common is working with Worcestershire County Council to provide short break activities for disabled young people and their families.
Part of the council’s Aiming High for Disabled Children programme, the subsidised short breaks are ideal for children between the ages of five and 19, who can attend on their own or with siblings and parents.
Activities are suitable for people with specific and complex difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorder, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural issues.
They can take part in daily farm tasks looking after friendly farm animals including Kune Kune pigs, Angora and Pygmy goats and lots of different breeds of poultry and rabbits.
Brambles is now taking bookings for Saturday Clubs throughout the year and mid-week days during summer holidays. Places are available for one off visits and regular sessions. Prices per person are £5 per half day, subsidised, or £11.75 per hour non-subsidised.
