LOCAL band Tallulah Fix is going from strength to strength and will be performing in London at the end of this month.
The Malvern band only started performing live three month ago but after a number of successful gigs in the midlands found themselves asked to support Mark Morris, former frontman for nineties band The Bluetones, at his concert in London on January 30.
The four-piece band describe their sound as grungy blues but say their music is versatile and they have performed at gigs from light acoustic to heavy rock.
Following each performance the Malvern lads get so much interest that this leads to another gig and then another. Bass player Louie Webb, who only picked up the instrument when the band formed last year, said: “We are taking it all as it comes but we’re surprised how quickly it has all taken off. We seem to have hit the ground running.”
The other band members are Rich Monk, Scott Mcfadyen and Kev Gunton.
The band were part of the New Year line -up at Tramps nightclub in Worcester, a club that recently featured all the 2009 X-Factor finalists. They were thrilled to be offered the chance to support Mark Morris in London and have organised a coach for loyal local fans who don’t want to miss the gig.
Tickets for the gig cost £8 and the coach trip £10. Anyone interested can contact band members at tallulahfix@hotmail.co.uk or call Kev Gunton on 07974 718583 or Louie Webb on 07856 896665. To find out more about the band visit www.myspace.com/thetallulahfix
