Police now believe that three men were involved in a burglary in which a safe containing more than £1,000 was taken from a restaurant in Upton-upon-Severn.
Based on new information, officers also now think that Puccini’s in Church Street was broken into between 8 and 8.30pm on Boxing Day.
“New independent information pinpoints three men being heard in - or near - the closed restaurant during a precise period on Boxing Day night,” said a police spokesman.
“We believe this will help people who were in the Church Street area to better recall seeing – or hearing – anything suspicious that will help our enquiries.
“We continue to believe that the men had a vehicle parked nearby and that they – and perhaps the vehicle - were seen by a number of people in the area on Boxing Day night, but without arousing suspicion at the time.”
Police can be contacted on 0300 333 3000, quoting 146S/281209. Information can also be given – anonymously – to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
