AUTHOR Kevin Allen, who has researched the Norbury family of Sherridge, Leigh Sinton, for some years, and whose book is expected to be published next year, will give the Elgar Society’s last talk of 2009 titled Gracious ladies: the Norbury family and Edward Elgar.

They were friends and benefactors of Edward Elgar, with Winifred Norbury being included in his Enigma Variations.

The event will be at the Elgar Birthplace Museum, Lower Broadheath at 2.30pm tomorrow, Saturday, November 21. Members and the public are warmly invited. For further details, call 01684 567917.
