OCTOBER at Malvern Library is knitting month, thanks to a joint initiative between the library and its near neighbour in Graham Road, the Knitting Parlour.
The first event is a men’s learn-to-knit workshop tomorrow (Saturday, October 10) at 2-4pm. Materials will be available to borrow.
This is followed by two men's knit-and-natter sessions on Saturdays, October 17 and 31, at 2-4pm. No booking is necessary.
"It’s a great way to get new ideas and meet other knitters without the risk of turning up to a knitting club where it’s all girls," said owner Vicki Walker.
On Friday, October 23, at 3.30-5.30pm, there is a professional finishing tips workshop with designer Emma King, who will discuss top techniques for finishing knitted garments. The cost is £5 and booking is essential.
And on Saturday, October 24, at 2-4pm, there is a kids' learn-to-knit workshop, suitable for children from seven upwards. To book, call 01684 561223.
