Redundancy into opportunity for former Malvern schoolgirl

A FORMER Malvern school girl has turned redundancy into opportunity by starting a successful modelling website.

Simone Thomas, aged 24, attended Croft Down private school, In Abbey Road, when her mother worked at the Elms School, in Colwall.

She later found work as a business development manager in the gambling industry but when she lost her job, she decided to take charge of her future.

She said: “School was really, really strict. We had to go to church every Sunday and wear the same clothes.”

She set up wildorchidsearch.com which allows the public to vote on the attractiveness of amateur models who submit their pictures.

The most successful women on the site can receive modelling contracts and cash prizes.
