Haunted house inspires book

BUMPS in the night, strange creaks and taps mysteriously turning themselves on were enough to convince Barnards Green mum, Dawn Bradshaw, her house had some very eerie visitors.

The 40-year-old is sure her home is haunted by ghosts and has written a book to prove it.

Having lived in the house for three years with her husband Andrew and five children, Mrs Bradshaw had experienced a number of strange incidences including the sound of laughing children when there was nobody else in.

There was nothing to do but call in the professionals, in the form of Channel Five's British Psychic Challenge star, Anne Galliers.

"She came around and realised it was highly active," explained Mrs Bradshaw, "She sensed a lot of paranormal activity.

Mrs Bradshaw revealed she was told the house was haunted by the ghosts of Victorian children, despite it only having been built in 1955.

"There were buildings on this site beforehand," she said.

Mrs Bradshaw explained her children, aged between 10 months and 13 years, were frightened at first but have slowly become accustomed to the noises.

She said: "The more of us that are here, the more things actually begin to happen."

The book, A Haunted House in Malvern, is currently being printed and will be stocked at Aquarius, Lyttelton House, Malvern, within the next few weeks.
