A FORMER Dyson Perrins head boy and member of Malvern's Air Cadets has graduated from the RAF's college at Cranwell in Lincolnshire.
John Macleod, aged 20, completed an initial officer training coures at the college and is now an acting pilot officer.
He joined the RAF in June last year and will soon begin his professional training as an Air Traffic Controller.
On graduating as an officer he said, "I'm very proud to hold a commission from the Queen and would like to thank family and friends who have always supported me."
John attended Dyson Perrins CE High School, where he became head boy. Between the ages of 13 and 15, he was a member of 1017 (Malvern) Squadron Air Training Corps.
A keen sportsman, he enjoys squash and has represented both the RAF College and the RAF U23s at hockey. Before going to college, he worked as a waiter and barman at The Fox Inn, Bransford.
John's brother Harry is currently in his third term at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and hopes soon to graduate as an army officer.
