INNOVATIVE Anglo-Scandinavian duo Karen Tweed and Timo Alakotila won phenomenal praise for debut CD May Monday - including its being made album of the year by Radio Three's Fiona Tarkington.
Part folk, part jazz, part classical, the music has been hailed by critics for its ability to break down barriers.
Now a new CD, Midnight May Monday, sees accordionist Karen Tweed and pianist Timo Alakotila weaving more intricate yet haunting melodies into colourful tapestries of sound.
The duo are performing live at The Grove in Malvern next Saturday, May 24, at 8pm. Tickets are £10 (£5 children) from 01684 576359.
