What a scoop, Scoop!

Its rare to get such an interesting and insightful interview with a MHC official. Not only was this interview candid, heart warming and honest it was also informative. A great piece of reporting and now the public can sleep in peace knowing that all will be ok concerning the long grass on the commons.
But hang on a minute, surely there have been days when the area has dried enough, I cut my lawn only last week and I didn't have to make excuses about it being too wet,then promising my boyfriend that I will get round to it soon. I wouldn't be able to get away with such a slack attitude.

These will be the same walkers who when walking across the common in autumn will think that someone realy ought to sweep up the leaves.

This is good news as come Monday morning I was just about planning to pay the Council a visit and ask what the hell they are think they are playing at, leaving the commons uncut.
However, I have been in two mind over this and pondered in thought as I took my faithful hound “Lady Diana” for walkies in the neglected, overgrown thoroughfare.
When grass is cut or any plant for that matter it releases VOC's (volatile organic compounds) these compounds often contain methane, acetone, and formaldehyde, which all of the following are harmful to animals and humans but thankfully the grass usually doesn't give off enough of these compounds to have a severe effect on any humans but the acetone that is released isn't helping our atmosphere either.
In the end I decided that if the council would stop making silly excuses about the weather and get their hands out of there pockets. I would fell a lot safer from being bitten by a large Adder that I would accidentally step on in this overgrown jungle once know as a common.

I didn't know the council were growing pot.

Chocolate starfish did you mow your lawn? Why wasn't I informed?

Yes, I did mow the lawn and also trimmed the edges. It was a great success and also very rewarding.
After the task was completed I settled down with a mug of tea and chocolate digestive.
I now have to think about cleaning my windows and maybe touching up some paint work that has peeled during the winter months.
