STAFF at Malvern's Matalan store will be getting their knees dirty to raise money for charity.
On Wednesday evening (April 2) two teams from the store, one made up of full-time workers and another of part-timers, will take to the field for a football match to raise money for the NSPCC.
The match is just one of a series of fundraising initiatives being organised by staff as they aim to raise £1,250 for the charity.
Fundraising co-ordinator Stella Mitchell said staff were being hugely supportive of the store's work for the NSPCC, which is Matalan's national nominated charity.
"The guys already had a football match lined up, and we thought it was an ideal opportunity to have it as a charity event to raise some money," she said. "We've got lots of other things lined up, including a charity rounders match and a boys versus girls tug of war.
"Everyone is very enthusiastic, we've only been fundraising for a few days and we're already doing quite well, so we're hoping to reach our target and perhaps more."
