PEOPLE living in and around Jamaica Crescent are to be asked if they want to see new children's play equipment there.
Malvern Town Council is looking at the future of the playground there, and wants to know what local people think.
At a meeting next Tuesday, September 18, the council's operations committee is being asked to approve a consultation exercise.
If approved, leaflets will go out to households in Jamaica Road and Crescent, Greenfields Road, Tayson Way, Eastbrook Close, Bosbury Road, Upper Howsell Road and Lechmere Crescent.
The leaflet says the council is considering three options. The first is to remove the existing equipment and replace it, the second is to use the land for allotments and the last is to remove the play equipment and not replace it.
"The council believes that there is adequate provision of play facilities in the area at Michael Crescent and Lower Howsell recreation ground," says the proposed leaflet. The Michael Crescent play area was refurbished five years ago.
Renewing the play equipment at Jamaica Crescent would cost in the region of £20,000. The cost of carrying out the survey is about £200.
