Second plan for Woodshears Road site

NEW plans to develop a prominent site in Malvern's conservation area have been sent in to the district council.

Veritas Developments Ltd of Powick have put in the application for Priory Corner, at the top of Woodshears Road.

The site is currently occupied by a detached house standing in extensive gardens, with several large cedar trees.

The new application is to knock down the house and build seven town houses on the land.

A previous plan for the site was withdrawn by the applicant, but not before drawing heated criticism from local people, who objected to the loss of the gardens and the overdevelopment of the site, as well as the prospect nof extra traffic.
