MALVERN Hills Conservators should have a committee dedicated to public relations, says the board's vice-chairman Ray Roberts.
The Conservators had a committee which dealt with PR matters, but it was abolished last November because members overwhelmingly wished to serve on the board's other two committees.
But with elections coming up this autumn and an expected influx of new members, Mr Roberts believes the time is right to recreate it.
He said: "Telling people what we do accurately is an important part of our job, and all too often people have got misconceptions about our work."
He said that if the Conservators return to a three-committee system, the committees will be smaller, will work more efficiently and will give members more chance to make a contribution.
"Public relations sometimes has a bad name, in this era of spin, but I think it's important to communicate what we do," he said.
Mr Roberts has put forward a motion calling for the committee's creation, which is due to come up at the board's meeting on Thursday, September 13.
