NEARLY 200 primary school pupils took part in the Junior Olympics organised by Malvern St James school.
The children who took part were mixed up into teams and represented countries including Great Britain, Brazil, Iceland, Spain and the USA.
Events included shot-put, javelin, 60m sprint, lap of the track, beanbag relay, long jump and high jump.
Taking part were Hanley Swan, Malvern Parish and Much Marcle primary school, ad well as others from further afield.
Certificates and medals were presented to the winners by Malvern St James head Olivera Raraty, who said: "The Junior Olympics is a wonderful event and we were delighted to have so many children from local schools taking part. There was a real sense of determination and sportsmanship all day and everyone had great fun.”
