CHILDREN playing at Duke's Meadow, off Pickersleigh Road, Malvern, found the dead body of a man in undergrowth on Saturday evening
Police and an ambulance were called to the scene, near the play area, with a fire crew providing lighting, at about 8.40pm.
The Worcestershire Coroner's Office has been informed, and a post-mortem examination has been ordered to be carried out tomorrow (Tuesday, August 14) morning.
A date for the opening of an inquest, to be conducted by coroner Geraint Williams, is likely to be announced after that.
The area is said to be a well-known spot for drug abuse.
