THE family of a man who died after being stabbed in Dudley have paid tribute to a "caring" and "hard-working" father, son and brother.
Jaskaran Kang, from Handsworth, was pronounced dead at a flat in Stourbridge Road on Saturday morning (January 6).
A tribute released by the 24-year-old's family said: “He was a lovely and caring, hard-working father, son and brother who has been taken too soon.
"Everyone loved him and the family and community are in shock and we just want justice.”
Police were called to a report of a stabbing at around 2.30am on Saturday, January 6.
Jaskaran was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of ambulance crew members to save him.
A post mortem examination was due to take place on Sunday (January 7).
Detective Inspector Justin Spanner, of West Midlands Police’s homicide team, said: “A murder investigation has been launched and we are fully committed to finding out who was responsible.
"I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at around that time and saw anything unusual going on.
"If you have any information about what happened leading up to the attack or think you know who is responsible, please call police on 101 giving log number 243 of January 6."
