AN IT solutions firm in Bromsgrove has donated a state-of-the-art learning device to sick students at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

GoServe staff presented James Brindley School, based at the hospital, with a 'GoInteractive table', which features built-in apps and software to support key stage one teaching activities.

As well as being programmed with a range of fun learning activities, the interactive table can be altered from an upright position to a table top, making it accessible to patients of different abilities.

GoServe director Matt Dawson, whose daughter has been an outpatient at Birmingham Children's Hospital for two years, said he was proud to donate the device to such a worthy cause.

He said: "The smiles and excitement on the day really said it all.

"Birmingham Children’s Hospital are the first in hopefully many organisations that we aim to donate to in the future through our GoGive campaign.

"By reaching targeted sales we will be donating to local hospitals and charities.

"We are thrilled to be working alongside Birmingham Children's Hospital to help bring bedside education and ICT together."

Matt joined GoServe's managing director Christian Sample on December 6 to deliver the device, which had been designed in blue to match the James Brindley School logo.

Miranda Williams, public fundraising manager at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We are always so grateful to our kind-hearted supporters who go above and beyond to make our hospital a special place for our patients and their families.

"This generous gift from GoServe will make a huge difference to the children who use the school and help make their learning environment a more fun and exciting place.”
