YESTERDAY afternoon the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for ice, which is still in place until 11am today.
There are plenty of icy patches which have developed overnight on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, as well as where rain showers have washed off treatment.
However, into the afternoon the weather will brighten up with highs of 5°C a possibility.
Tonight is expected to be clear but frosty with temperatures dropping to -4 °C, while clouds will form overnight with rain by Friday morning.
