A CADET from Bromsgrove is celebrating completing his formal commissioning as a Royal Navy officer.
Midshipman Harry Wagstaff, 23, was part of the latest group of officer cadets to take part in the passing-out parade at Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC).
Harry said: "Training at BRNC has been an incredible experience, pushing me to my limits both physically and mentally.
"It has developed me as a person. I am looking forward to the second phase of my training and furthering my career in the Royal Navy.”
To earn his place on the parade ground, Harry completed an intensive 30-week training course at the world renowned Dartmouth College.
The training also featured a six-week ship acquaint, where Harry was assigned to the helicopter carrier and assault ship HMS Ocean, acting as the flagship for the Standing NATO Maritime Group.
Harry's passing-out parade was watched by proud family members and friends, as well as distinguished guests such as Vice Admiral Duncan Potts, director general of the Joint Force Development and Defence Academy.
Harry will remain at BRNC to begin his professional course to qualify as a warfare officer.
