TRADERS in Malvern Link will be celebrating Christmas with a special late night shopping event nest week.

Some 20 businesses, including hair salons, a florist, a wool shop, charity shops and much more, will be open on Thursday, December 30, until 8pm.

The event will showcase the Link's new Christmas lights, which have been supplied by Malvern Town Council, and which the Link traders are very pleased about.

Phil Ironside of Creative Spaces, one of the organisers, said: "Heath Evans from Express TV had been in contact with the council to try to improve the Christmas lights and when funding was made available we were all delighted that our lights had been awarded an upgrade.

"So as well as the lamp-post decorations, we are having a string of lights down each side of the road, which will pave the way into Malvern. The electricity will be paid for by the traders.

"We will also have a fairground card organ playing in Fir Tree Walk which is being supplied by Harpers Bazaar."
