COUNCIL run pay and display machines in the town are set to stop accepting the old £1 coin this weekend.
Malvern Hills District Council have started the process of converting the machines to only accept the new pound 12-sided coin.
The remainder of the machines will be adjusted over the weekend.
A district council spokesman said: "We would advise motorists paying to park in our car parks to ensure they have valid currency or to use our pay by mobile service to avoid any inconvenience."
As well as paying for parking by cash, drivers also have the option to pay for their parking and extend their stay online, using credit or debit card.
The service is available via council's website.
