MALVERN'S famous buzzards sculpture will be turning pink to highlight the battle against breast cancer.
The sculpture, in Rose Bank Gardens off Belle Vue Terrace, will be illuminated pink - the colour associated with breast cancer awareness - in aid of the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.
The spotlights that light up the metal sculpture at night will be fitted with pink filters for a week during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The unit got permission earlier this year from Malvern Town Council, which looks after the park, to carry out the illumination.
Lexi Craigie of the unit said: "We're not sure exactly which week in October it will be, but we look forward to seeing this beautiful sculpture lit up pink.
"Hopefully it will remind people of all the good work that the have does, and raise awareness about breast cancer generally."
