A GOOD-sized crowd defied the rain on Saturday and flocked to the family fun open day at Upton Fire Station.
Among the attractions on offer were demonstrations by the firefighters on how they deal with road crashes and chip pan fires.
The day also included displays from the Young Firefighters Association and other agencies on site.
The raffle on the day featured great prizes including donations from local business including a brand new UPVC door from Permadoor, all raising money in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity.
Station commander Mark Strutt said: “Upton Fire Station’s open day was extremely successful. Thanks to the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews, to the Young Fire Fighters Association, police, ambulance, volunteers and local businesses that all supported the day and made it such a great success.”
