A BODY has been pulled from the River Severn in Upton.
The body of a man was recovered by police at 1pm yesterday and police are unsure of the identity of the deceased.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a body which surfaced from the River Severn in Upton-upon-Severn.
"Enquiries are ongoing at this time in order to establish the identity and the circumstances of the deceased prior to the body’s discovery, which occurred around 1:00pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 July)."
Police are unsure if the incident is being treated as suspicious and were unable to provide further details.
