A MAN has been jailed for attacking police officers and a store manager.
Ricky John Smith, aged 27, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to the offences and was jailed for 26 weeks.
It is understood he tried to buy alcohol from the One Stop shop, in Barnards Green, Malvern, on Sunday, July 9 but was refused as it was too early.
He resisted as police officers tried to arrest him and ended up attacking two of the constables.
He also assaulted an officer in Worcester on the same day and attacked another constable in the city on Monday.
He was given a 26-week sentence, which increased to 42 weeks due to a suspended sentence, at Worcester Magistrates Court on Monday.
His jail time was extended because he breached a 16-week suspended sentence, which he received for assaulting PC Doidge and racially or religiously harassing another officer, in Malvern, on Sunday, 26 February.
Worcester Magistrates Court ordered Smith to pay £650 in compensation to his victims and a victim surcharge of £115.
