A GROUP of amateur artists in Malvern are pooling their talents to raise money for the charity Send a Cow, by donating a series of paintings of subjects related to the charity’s work in Africa.
Chickens, goats and sheep, and even old farm machinery will feature in a series of greetings cards to be sold on the charity’s behalf.
Mary Stafford, who is one of the group, said: “We are all excited by this opportunity. Some of us have never been in print before.
"The local printer Aspect Design has been very supportive in helping us with that process. Now we can combine our enjoyment of painting with support for a great charity. And with at least a dozen artists involved, we can offer a wide range of styles.”
The artists are all students at the Malvern School of Art, Albert Road North and their cards will be on sale during the school's summer exhibition, on Saturday, July 8, to Wednesday, July 12.
The photograph shows group members Mary Chapman, Jane Hordern, Melanie Jameson, Dee Ward, Diane Thomas and Sally Rees with their chicken cards.
