A TEACHER and three of her pupils have raised almost £2,000 by cutting their hair for charity.
The Downs Malvern pupils Kinny, aged 13, Georgie, 12, and Emma, 11, took part in ‘The Big Cut’ with their teacher, Chloe Stanbridge.
The haircut took place on Tuesday, June 13, and so far the group has raised £1,859 through various fundraising efforts.
The hair and money will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children fighting cancer.
Miss Stanbridge said: “A huge congratulations to the girls for raising so much for The Little Princess Trust, an amazing and inspirational charity. We are really proud of you.”
The money has been raised through two online donation pages and a raffle which was held at the school.
Mr Cook, the headteacher of The Downs Malvern, in Brockhill Road, Colwall, also took part in the effort by cutting Emma’s hair.
Stylists from the Little Hair Studio, in Ledbury, also volunteered their time to carry out the haircuts.
