A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a second crash at the same spot where two lorries and a car crashed yesterday.

The woman, in her 50s, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital after the two-car crash near Leigh Sinton at the junction of the A4103 and the B4219 at Storridge.

She was thought to be suffering from leg and pelvic injuries.

Charlie Rankin was first on scene after the crash and said the injured woman was on the floor when she arrived.

Police were called to help with traffic management along with reports that there was fluid and fuel spillage on the road. However, the road has remained open.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called just before 3.30pm to the crash.

A spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a two car RTC.

"An ambulance attended and there was one patient, a woman in her 50s, who has been taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital."

A spokeswoman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a fluid and fuel spillage on the road.

"A crew from Malvern attended.

"They made the vehicles safe and one person was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.

The crash was between a red Skoda and a silver Vauxhall Insignia and not much more than 24 hours after a crash in the same place between two lorries and a grey Land Rover.

In that crash, at 2pm on Wednesday, June 7, the road was briefly closed.

No one was trapped but the driver of the car was treated by paramedics.
