A WORCESTER pub will be closing for a makeover.
The Barn Owl, in Berkeley Way, Warndon, will be closing on Monday, May 1, for an extensive refurbishment by Marston's Inns and Taverns.
The pub is then set to re-open on Friday, May 19 with a brand new look.
The firm says the re-fit is bringing a further 12 jobs to the area, joining the already 30-strong team at the pub.
A Marston's spokesman said: "The pub will boast a modern and fresh refit, perfect for the local area.
"Slightly different to other Marston’s sites, the converted barn offers a unique place to dine that has been sympathetically incorporated into the refurbishment design. Boasting a completely new interior, the pub will also have an update and redesign of the kitchen.
"The interiors will be given a fresh lick of paint with the dining area also being updated with eclectic furniture and designer lighting that will create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
"Included in the overall re-invention, the patio and garden area will be improved just in time to enjoy a drink out in the summer sun."
Tom Carty, manager of the Barn Owl said: “I am really excited to see our customer’s reactions once the pub re-opens. We will still be offering the same menu and we will still be the same pub that our customers know and love, just with an exciting and brand new look.”
