A FESTIVAL held every year to raise money for animal welfare charities is set to have its biggest year yet.
More than 90 bands will take part in ARKfest from Friday, April 28, to Sunday, April 3.
Concerts will take place at different venues in and around Malvern, with proceeds going to Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter.
Organisers claim the annual festival is growing and said last year’s event drew in 60 bands and raised about £2,500.
Lisa Bircham, who co-founded the festival four years ago, said: “The only money we take out is for printing the tickets and posters.
“The festival this year is the biggest. It’s going to be hard work.
“The biggest have is Tom Hingley, the lead singer of Inspiral Carpets.”
Concerts will take place at the Great Malvern Hotel, The New Inn, Abbey Road Coffee, The Cross Keys, The Unicorn, Malvern Cube, The Brewers Arms, The Rose & Crown, The Retreat and The Nags Head. More information can be found on https://www.facebook.com/ARKfest
