LUCKY young football fans have won a competition to be mascots at their favourite team's next game.

Aston Villa fans Jayden Young, aged 10, of Malvern and Scarlett Underwood, aged eight, of Worcester will be mascots at the match between Villa and Reading on Saturday (April 15).

Martin Nicholas, owner of TaxAssist Accountants, in Worcester, ran the competition for two children to win the mascot day prize.

Mr Nicholas, also an Aston Villa fan, said that his daughter Olivia had also been lucky enough to be a Villa mascot at a recent game and they were glad to see a Villa win on the day.

He added: “I am so pleased that we have two worthy winners who are avid Villa fans.

"They are smashing kids who thoroughly deserve to have a great day out watching their favourite team.”

Jayden and Scarlett have been provided with full Villa team kits and will get to meet all the players before the game and will run out onto the pitch with them just before kick-off. They will also get a full tour of the ground.

TaxAssist was able to run the competition courtesy of QuickBooks, who are the main sponsors of Aston Villa and who it works closely with.

TaxAssist is based in Carden Street, Worcester and has been in full operation for just over a year.

It now has three members of staff and over 100 clients.
