A RESIDENT was attacked in their own home by a robber who made off with valuable jewellery.

The offender is reported to have entered the house in Queensmead, Bredon, through an unlocked back door at about 3pm on Monday.

Police say he then assaulted the homeowner before taking three "valuable" rings.

He is described as white with sun-tanned skin, in his early 20s. He is approximately 5ft 9ins to 6ft tall, of athletic build, clean shaven and with very short, black hair.

He was wearing a plain black t-shirt and plain blue stonewashed denim jeans, with a half-centimetre wide gold-coloured chain, and spoke with an Irish accent.

The rings stolen are a platinum ring with a one carat emerald cut diamond surrounded by emerald and baguette cut diamonds, a platinum eternity ring with diamonds around the outside and a 5-6mm platinum wedding band.
