THE Great Malvern branch of clothing chain Fatface has donated over £600 to the charity Malvern Special families.

The money was raised a part of a nationwide initiative by the retailer to ditch Black Friday discounts and instead give money to local charities.

Handing over the cheque for £644.80, Yasemin Prvulj-Smith, manager of the shop in Church Street said: "Here at FatFace we believe that the retail industry can act as a force for good. We are committed to making a difference to local people and communities through our Thanks for Giving campaign.

"We are proud to be able to support Malvern Special Families which is a brilliant local charity.”

Cassie Zoro, Malvern Special Families community fundraiser said: “Thank you to everybody who got shopping in the Great Malvern Fatface store and helped raise so much money for Malvern Special Families.

"It’s fantastic to see a large retail chain like Fatface donating a percentage of their profits to local charities. Fundraising initiatives like this can really help small charities like us to be able to support more local families.”

Malvern Special Families provides clubs and play schemes to children and young people with disabilities aged between five and 19 in the Malvern Hills and in Worcester areas.
