POLICE have arrested a 32-year-old man after seizing cannabis and what is thought to be heroin in a drugs raid.
The drug warrant was carried out in New Street, Upton, at about 11.30am on Wednesday, February 22.
Police arrested a man on suspicion of being in possession of a class A drug but have since de-arrested him.
PCSO Lisa Freeman, of Upton policing team, said: “I’d like to thank people. We work in such a proactive environment.
“Thank you to those in Upton who gave us intelligence.”
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “A small amount of cannabis and what is believed to be a class A drug, heroin, was recovered along with drugs paraphernalia.”
We have asked the police why the man was de-arrested and for confirmation that the seized drug is heroin.
