A MALVERN councillor has appeared in court on charges of child pornography.
Julian Roskams, aged 53, of Worcester Road, Malvern, has been charged with six counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
He was granted conditional bail at Worcester Magistrates Court today (February 18) on the following conditions: - No unsupervised contact with children under 16 unless supervised by a person approved by social services.
- To live and sleep at Poolbrook Road, Malvern.
- Only to access the internet on a device which has the capability to store internet history which must not be deleted and the device must be made available to police on request.
- Not to undertake employment, paid or unpaid, that leads to access to children.
- To surrender his passport to the police.
- To report to Worcester Police Station between 6pm and 8pm on Monday and Friday every week.
Roskams, who is a district and town councillor and former Mayor of Malvern, will appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, March 20.
