ANIMAL lovers are invited to support their local RSPCA branch when the charity holds a Christmas fayre later this month.

The RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch is holding the event on Friday, December 16, from 9.30am to midday at Worcester's Guildhall.

There will be coffee, tea and cakes to enjoy and lots of things to buy for Christmas gifts, or just to treat yourself.

All proceeds will go towards building the next phase of the branch rescue and rehoming centre at The Holdings, Broomhall, Worcester.

The centre opened on Monday, October 17 with a 20-pen cattery, but needs to raise more funds to build the main reception, vets room, grooming room and kennel block with exercise areas.

At the fayre there will be a chance to "Buy A Brick" - at just £3 a brick - towards the new building.

For more information, ring Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, on 01886 822083.
