THE meeting in October listened to Max Keen who presented his talk in battle mail (armour)and asked (and answered) the question: Was Alfred the Great a fortunate king? It was a very lively evening with history and humour and was the best history lesson ever.
The next meeting is on 2 November when Mike Sharpe will present The History of Genealogy.
Doors open at 7pm. Refreshments are available. New members and visitors are welcome. Please note: the entrance is via the side carpark in Yates Hay Road. Look out for way pointers.
