TRAFFIC is slow-moving along the M5 southbound due to an accident involving a lorry and a car.
The accident took place earlier this morning (Monday) between Junction 4a for the M42 and Junction 5 for Droitwich.
Shortly after, a car broke down along the same stretch of motorway, adding to delays.
A lane of the southbound carriageway was closed for the recovery of the lorry, but has since re-opened.
Highways England says traffic is flowing, however there is congestion back to Junction 3 for Halesowen/Birmingham.
It is estimated the congestion will clear by around 9am.
We will bring you updates.
