Malvern Concert Club continues its 2016-17 season on Thursday 27 October with a recital from the distinguished pianist Imogen Cooper CBE, who is welcomed back to Malvern after too long an absence. Ms Cooper is internationally renowned for both her virtuosity and lyricism. She has a widespread international career in orchestral, chamber and solo performance matched by an extensive discography. We need say little more than just quote the Daily Telegraph:

She is an outstanding artist, one of the finest pianists now playing. Go, listen, and wonder how many better pianists there are alive in this country, or anywhere.’

Her programme on Thursday includes Beethoven’s 7 Bagatelles Op.33 and Schumann’s masterpiece Davidsbündlertänze, Op.6. After the interval we shall be transported to Spain, with works by de Falla, Debussy and Albéniz. Further details may be found at malvern-concert-club.co.uk. This is a rare opportunity to catch a giant of the piano – don’t miss it! Tickets are available from Malvern Theatres Box Office 01684 892277 and Club membership is still available from Malvern Concert Club, which gives excellent value for the season.
