Health & History are recurrent themes at Clarence Park Village this Autumn. Two new Strength & Balance classes are under way & should reduce the risk of falls. Our excellent Wellbeing Nurse arranged for 'flu jabs to take place on site & talks have occurred & literature distributed on subjects such as diabetes & macular degeneration. We have now successfully funded our defibrillator & await its installation accompanied by instructions for volunteers in CPR, (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). A recent coffee morning with stalls & competitions, organised here by our Hair & Beauty salon raised over £630 for MacMillan Cancer Support. Cancer Research, Blind Concern, the British Legion & several others will also have stalls at our annual Christmas Charity Fair , together with our famous , home produced cakes, pies, crafts & jewellery. This takes place on Saturday, November 12 from 10am -1pm at Clarence Park.

The Great Malvern Route to the Hills new partnership project is currently visiting us, and entails a variety of artefacts and talks on the fascinating area in which we live. The ensuing discussions evoked much relevant & interesting information for residents & organisers alike.

More personal memories have been stirred by two collections brought here; assortment of memorabilia now updated, superseded & half forgotten.

Soon to start will be contacts with the Worcestershire Family History Society , they will help to guide us through the various opportunities for research.

On Saturday October 23 at 8pm (bar open at 7.30), you are invited to join us when there will be music by Debbie & Julie on the saxophone-Sax Appeal-, Tickets are £4.
