Will reading in dim light damage your eyesight? This was one of dozens of medical myths discussed during former teacher Sue Lamberton’s talk to members of Kempsey WI.
Presented in a fun quiz style, the health information and ‘old wives tales’ discussed ranged from whether mixing drinks causes hangovers to whether nails and hair continue to grow after death. (No in both cases).
Sue Lamberton is a supporter of Médicins sans Frontières and spoke of the organisation’s principles of neutrality and impartiality.
A collection among people attending the August meeting at Kempsey parish hall enabled her to send £68 to the medical humanitarian organisation.
