FUNDRAISERS from Malvern who attracted attention last Christmas with a decorated house are turning their attention to the Malvern Hills.

Brothers Tom and Tim Leaman from Malvern will be doing a sponsored walk next week to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Accompanied by trainee guide dog Kitty, they will walk from the clock tower in North Malvern Road to the top of the Beacon on Wednesday, August 31.

Tom Leaman, of Beauchamp Road, said they raise money for guide dogs because their stepfather Derek Hazlehurst has a guide dog.

He said: "A guide dog helps to change someone's life. For the visually-impaired owners, this could be the first time they have been independent for a long time.

"There are nearly 4,800 guide dogs in the UK. Guide dogs don't get government funding and we thank the public for donations and support."

They can be sponsored on the Justgiving website under Guide Dogs Unite Malvern.

At Christmas, they raised almost £200 with the Christmas lights display at Mr Leaman's house.
