A BRIGHT yellow and green bird, thought to be a parrot, has been rescued after it was spotted flying around in Malvern Link.
Residents of Lower Howsell Road, who were concerned for the exotic bird's safety, managed to catch it on Tuesday morning.
The eye-catching creature is currently staying at a property in Lower Howsell Road, however residents are appealing for its owner to collect it.
Steve Hurrell, who caught the bird in a fishing net, said: "It was just flying around in the middle of the road. He would have been killed if we hadn't have caught him.
"He is a bit distressed but he is okay.
"We have rung all the vets but they have not heard anything. I have tried all the houses nearby and nobody seems to know."
The 56-year-old suggested anyone who knows the bird's owner should contact the Best Friends Vets on 01684 573333 or they can call him on 01886 832737.
