THE public has a chance to ask searching questions of NHS leaders at an annual meeting.
Residents have been invited to the NHS South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) meeting at the Hive on Thursday, July 7 which begins at 1.30pm.
Following the AGM the bi-monthly governing body meeting will take place.
NHS South Worcestershire CCG holds a budget of £307 million to commission hospital, community and mental health services for a population of just over 292,000 patients.
The area covered by the CCG, includes 32 member GP practices across Droitwich, Evesham, Malvern, Pershore, Tenbury and Worcester.
Dr Anthony Kelly, Chair for NHS South Worcestershire CCG said: “We’re an organisation committed to commissioning services that meet the needs of our local population and the AGM will give the public the opportunity to find out about our achievements over the past 12 months.
“We will also be looking at plans for the year ahead, discussing the challenges and opportunities for the NHS in south Worcestershire and there will be a presentation of the annual report and financial accounts.
“I hope that as many local people as possible will join us to hear more about what we are doing.”
Members of the public have the opportunity to ask the Governing Body questions, any questions should be submitted in advance of the meeting by email to Nicola.allen@worcestershire.nhs.uk
